Donate to Family Friends
Family Friends provides vital support to families facing serious challenges. Our early intervention can turn things around for a family and prevent their challenges from leading to a long-term problem. We depend on donations to keep our services running. Your money will be used to directly help a child or parent to receive the right support for them, delivered in a timely, family centred way.
We help children to make sense of their world, combating issues that include:
- Domestic abuse witnessed by a child.
- Low level anxiety and worries which impact on a child’s daily life.
We also support parents to best enjoy their families, giving strategies and information to empower them to make positive changes in their households. We provide parents with practical and emotional support through our team of dedicated volunteers, and we also provide family support through our professional team.
Donating to us will help us ensure we continue to help local families for years to come.
How your money helps families

£10
£10 will buy a book which can be used as a tool to support a child affected by anxiety.
£30
£30 will pay for a volunteer to attend a First Aid course, to enable them to offer practical help to a family in the home and offer respite by taking a child out.
£100
£100 will pay for a volunteer to be recruited and trained, so that they can provide practical and emotional support to families who are living in difficult circumstances.
£270
£270 will pay for a child to attend an 8-week anxiety group where they can meet other children in a similar position and develop coping strategies, as well as providing support to the parents.
£400
£400 will pay for a child to attend our 10-week PICADA Group, which provides therapeutic help for a child who has witnessed domestic abuse, enabling them to talk this through and begin the process of healing.
