Who are Family Friends?
Family Friends in Windsor and Maidenhead is a small but mighty charity that provides short term support to families through our incredible network of awesome volunteers. We work in the home and community, and also deliver specialist groups to children struggling with anxiety and those impacted by domestic abuse.
Our help is free, confidential, and open to any family living in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead with a child aged 0 – 13 years and up to 18 years for Armed Service Families.
Family Friends is staffed by a team who are all passionate about helping families going through difficult times. We also have a dedicated Board of Trustees who give up valuable time to make important decisions on behalf of Family Friends. Some of them also directly support families. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our committed volunteers who come from all walks of life.

Why are we needed?
We provide early support to families before they hit crisis point and need intervention from local authorities.
What is our impact?
Since 1995, we’ve helped thousands of families in the local borough, trained hundreds of volunteers and held many specialist children’s groups. Our beneficiaries are families with young children who either self-refer or are referred by social workers, early help advisors, health visitors, schools, children’s centres, and other charities.
